The Print Tool is a server-based map printing capability that allows the Print function to be accessed from the Flex, Silverlight, JavaScript or .NET/ADF environments with a web widget that can be plugged in to each of these web environments.

The Print Tool:

  • Provides high quality/high resolution (100-600) dpi printing at different print and plot scales.
  • Delivers outputs in PDF, JPEG, PNG and all other formats supported by ArcObjects.
  • Uses ArcMap Templates, allowing:
    • Printer and plot size maps to be generated.
    • User and City standard borders, disclaimer, logos, etc. to be defined.
  • Prints map mark-ups and partial transparency polygon fills.
  • Automatically generates a map legend based on selected map services and displayed features (not including mark-ups).
  • Provides the user with the options to user define:
    • Map title
    • Legend on/off
    • Specified map scale or extent

Can be added to the nexVIEWer or any other ESRI-based Flex or Silverlight viewer!
